"We Remember: A Message from Quarla Blackwell”

Remembering 9/11: A Tribute of Love and Prayer

By Quarla Blackwell, Kinston, NC

Today, we pause to honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who rose in the face of unimaginable tragedy on September 11, 2001. Though years have passed, the memory remains vivid—a reminder of both heartbreak and resilience.

To all those affected: you are not forgotten. Your pain, your courage, and your stories continue to inspire us. We send continued prayers for healing, peace, and strength. May love surround you today and always.

From my heart in Kinston, North Carolina, I send love to every corner of this nation touched by that day. Let us stand united—not only in remembrance, but in hope for a future built on compassion and understanding.

“Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost—a way to reclaim that spirit of unity.” — President Barack Obama

May we never forget. May we always care. And may we continue to lift each other up.
